Even though the Big Trip is over, our story now continues on U.S. soil, in my other Blogspot home, Amiable depravity, which recounts my experiences as a New England transplant to Florida.
To describe Florida's unique weirdness, South Florida novelist Carl Hiaasen originally coined the term amiable depravity while he was playing "Not My Job" on NPR's Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me in 2011--coincidentally the same year we moved to Florida.
